또한 PH 를 낮추기 위해 사용될수 있습니다.

Gypsum adds hardness to soft brewing water. Brewers that use distilled water like to add some gypsum back into the water to give it some hardness. 

Gypsum can also be used to lower the pH of water. Use 1~2 teaspoon per 5 gallons.

Useful for adding calcium if the water is low in sulfate. Can be used to add sulfate "crispness" to the hop bitterness.

• Calcium Sulfate - CaSO4*2 H2O
• Lowers pH
• Use approx. 1g per 1 gallon to increase hardness of water by 61.5 ppm Ca and 147.4 ppm SO4.
